I dun agree with rosy tt plants are not true living things cos they dun have organs... living things are generally organisms tt undergo metabolism, can grow and reproduce themselves, and able to respond to stimuli... for example, a jellyfish has no eye, no nose and no mouth... does it means tt it is not an animal?
Although plants cannot show any expressions or feelings, this does not means they can't feel or think... researches have shown tt by stroking and talking to plants, they can grow better... i believe this means tt plants somehow can feel and hear their surrounding world... jus because humans dun see the plants crying or laughing, they think plants wun be able to feel... if eating plants are acceptable cos they can't feel pain, does it mean tt killing a person who loses his/her sense of touch is acceptable as well?
In addition, i think rosy's pangu theory doesn't stand at all... pangu is a mythical kter created by ppl... so the watever thing said by pangu is jus creation of ppl as well... in my opinion, all living things deserve the chance to live... but cos of the rules of the Nature, some organisms would surely be eaten by another and in turn eaten by another and the cycle goes on... tt's how Nature balance life on Earth... why humans are born with front teeth tt are sharp and teeth are the back are blunt? cos the front teeth are used for tearing meat and the back teeth are used for grinding the plants we eat... tt's the way of Nature...
According to a theory, the universe is formed cos of the 'Big Bang', which makes the space expand, carrying the galaxies with it... the space is still expanding nw... with the theory abt the formation of the universe, scientists are also interested to find out whether the universe would have a finite lifespan... there are a lot of theories nw, which i wun elaborate here... even though there are debates on whether the universe would come to an end, many scientists believe tt the astronomical objects which includes Earth would eventually die off... this is something tt the humans cannot control...
Even though humans have indeed harm our Earth, the damages we do are very limited compared to wat the universe can do to itself... if the Earth is meant to be destroyed, there is nothing we can do abt it at all... life is something tt the universe has given us... if it wans it back, how can we refuse?
phew... finally finish another lecture... long time nvr get in touch with science le so a bit rusty le... u guys enjoy reading and leave ur comments... XD
